Literacy Courses

You will learn the basics of the German language as well as reading and writing Latin script in our literacy courses. The right course module will be ascertained for you with an individual placement test. We will be pleased to advise you!

Information and Details about the Courses

  • Literacy Courses start once to twice a month.
  • Tuition times:
    Monday–Friday 8:00–12:15, incl. a 30-minute break; that corresponds to 25 tuition units per week (100 tuition units per month)
  • Duration of 9–12 months, depending on your previous knowledge
  • 9 basic modules of 100 tuition units each; the focus will be on learning German in combination with reading and writing Latin script (target: A2 level)
  • 3 advanced modules of 100 tuition units each, with the aim of extending language competence to the B1 level
  • Orientation course with 100 tuition units
  • B1 level final examination: “German Test for Immigrants” (TELC)
  • Information on subsidy available on request
  • Joining a course in progress is possible
  • Afternoon and evening courses on request

  • You will learn to master diverse everyday situations in German.
  • You will learn the German language in a pleasant atmosphere and in groups with a maximum number of 16 participants.
  • Learn to read and write Latin script.
  • Current and interesting topics will be covered in the individual modules, you will experience the German language in an enjoyable way and motivate each other.
  • We offer counselling to help you plan your future in Germany.
  • You will speak German from the first lesson onwards; our native speakers will teach you all the details and subtleties of the German language for the respective language level.

Advanced Level Courses

After successful completion of the integration course, we offer B2 level and C1 level courses for admission to Universities (DSH) and Universities of Applied Sciences (TestDaF).
